Enchanted Forest theme park is an excellent destination for families with younger children, with a variety of fun and interactive areas as well as a few amusement park-style rides. Various areas of the park include Storybook Lane, where kids can climb through an Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole, stumble through a crooked house and walk through Snow White's castle; and the Old World Village, full of entertaining animated musical performances and brilliantly colored toy machines. There are a few fast-moving rides, including the Big Timber Log Ride and the Ice Mountain Bobsleds. The park is located just off I-5 in the small town of Turner, a few miles south of Salem.
Open Mar - Sep: dates and hours vary, call for details.
Adults $9.25; Seniors (62+) and Children (3-12) $8.25; Children 2 and under are free. Some rides are extra.

Despite being a little uncomfortable with the structural stability of the roller coasters, Enchanted Forest is an absolutely fantastic place for young kids to play and explore. It's a bit out of the way, but it really is cute.
